Meeting Theme: “Connecting Sustainability, Standards and Certification”

The Partnership Meeting & Cocoa Sustainability Trade Fair is a 2-day event hosted by the World Cocoa Foundation to share latest developments toward ensuring greater sustainability in the cocoa sector and improving farmer livelihoods. Join WCF in Copenhagen for the 26th WCF Partnership Meeting, which will be the first time the meeting is held in Denmark. The meeting will take place at the Confederation of Danish Industry in Copenhagen center. 

More than 300 attendees representing the chocolate and cocoa industry, global retailers, cocoa producing country governments, non-profit organizations, academia, research institutes and more from around the globe are expected to attend. Read the press release about the meeting here.

The Partnership Meeting agenda is available! It is shaped by the theme: “Connecting Sustainability, Standards and Certification”. The focus will be on how these three areas shape the future of cocoa with speakers representing different areas of the cocoa value chain. CocoaAction will also be a featured topic during the meeting. Cocoa Sustainability Trade Fair and Sponsorship

Running concurrently with the Meeting is WCF’s Cocoa Sustainability Trade Fair, which will feature information and displays about sustainability efforts being undertaken in the cocoa sector. Please note: all meeting attendees, including those staffing Trade Fair tables, must have registration credentials for the meeting.

Meeting Venue & Location

The meeting venue, Dansk Industri’s “New House of Industry” is located in Copenhagen center, across from the City Hall and overlooking the world famous Tivoli Gardens. The building was designed as a green building with a focus on sustainability making it the perfect venue to discuss cocoa sustainability. Learn more about the venue here, and see a map below.

Members of the media are welcome and encouraged to attend. Advance registration is required. Journalists interested in attending the Partnership Meeting must email describing intent to cover, plus media outlet and contact details.

Journalist are welcome to attend all public sessions. No video recording is permitted in the session rooms.


Two  hotels within walking distance from the meeting venue are recommended for meeting participants. The WCF room block has been reached at both hotels, but rooms are still available at the regular rate.

The meeting falls on a Danish school holiday so hotel rooms in Copenhagen may book up quickly. 

Travel Information

All participants are required to possess a valid passport or applicable travel document with valid visas to enter Denmark. WCF can provide an invitation letter for your visa application, if necessary. We require those needing invitation letters to request them before September 10 via email.
