Program Area Director, NORC
Kareem Kysia is a Program Area Director leading NORC’s work on vulnerable populations research. With over 20 years of experience in international data collection, he is an expert on cross-cultural survey design, analytics, and management of international projects related to vulnerable and hard-to-reach populations.
Kysia's research focuses on forced labor, child labor, countering-trafficking-in-persons (CTIP), at-risk migration, and the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC). As program area director, Kysia directs and provides technical oversight on multiple extensive data collection projects funded by USAID, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Global Fund to End Modern Slavery, and the International Labour Organization among others. For these projects Kysia provides technical oversight on all aspects of the research and data collection for NORC, including methodology, quality control, budgeting, deliverables, and client interactions.
