Organic Farming Researcher, University of Giessen
Wiebke works currently as a Post-Doc scientist and lecturer at the chair of Organic Farming at the University of Giessen in Germany, connecting and implementation of agroforestry and organic agriculture. Previously, she worked as a farm manager on a cocoa plantation in Costa Rica, and did her research on the comparison of ecosystem services, especially the water relations, of cocoa agroforestry systems and cocoa monocultures in a long-term trial of cocoa production in Bolivia in cooperation with FiBL, Switzerland.
Wiebke graduated with a PhD in landscape ecology from the University of Goettingen, Germany. Her Master program was on sustainable international agriculture at the Universities of Goettingen and Kassel / Witzenhausen, Germany, and biology at the University of Greifswald, Germany.
