Head of Mission to the European Union, Republic of Ghana
Her Excellency Mrs. Sena Siaw-Boateng is the Ambassador of Ghana to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Head of Mission to the European Union. Prior to that, she served as Chef de Cabinet at the Office of the Honourable Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of Ghana.
As a career Diplomat she has served in various capacities at the Foreign Ministry, notable among them is the Director of the Africa and Regional Integration Bureau, with oversight responsibility for the ECOWAS National Office, the African Union (AU) Unit as well as in Ghana Missions abroad – Havana and the Caribbean, London, Madrid and South Africa. With her strength in negotiations, she has negotiated various international Agreements on behalf of the Government of Ghana.
Ambassador Sena Siaw-Boateng is a product of Achimota School, the University of Ghana, Legon and Ghana School of Law all in Accra. In addition, she has also pursued various courses at the Ghana Institute of Public Administration and the Ghana Stock Exchange, among others. She was a Chevening Scholar at the Oxford University, England where she pursued post-graduate studies in International Relations and Diplomacy. She is also a trained Solicitor in Legal Practice, UK and a qualified Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana
Ambassador Sena is a sports enthusiast and speaks French and Spanish fluently.
