Global Director, Agricommodities Business Unit, IDH, The Sustainable Trade Initiative
Jordy van Honk works as global director agriculture commodities at IDH, The Sustainable Trade Initiative. In this role, he leads the transformation of IDH sector programs in cocoa, tea and coffee. The objective of this undertaking is to further improve IDH strategies and ability to deliver on them to enhance real and lasting impact on people and planet in the upstream part of these value chains. Jordy is also part of the executive management team of the overall organization, and reports to the Executive Board.
Jordy has worked for IDH for more than 9 years and has been part of several leading sustainability initiatives in agricultural commodity programs in the tea, flowers, cashew, cocoa, cassava and spices sectors. He holds a Master degree in Economics from the University of Amsterdam and has over 12 years of experience working in the field of sustainable production and trade of commodities. Before joining IDH in 2010, Jordy worked for the Ministry of Agriculture of the government of The Netherlands.
