B2B Sustainability Manager, Cordillera
With a background in Mechanical Engineering (EAFIT University) and Project Management (EIA University), Jorge León brings over 15 years of cross-industry experience across the food, packaging, and manufacturing sectors. This journey has shaped him into a systems-thinking and intrapreneurial mindset that sees sustainability not just as a responsibility, but as a catalyst for innovation, shared value, and profitable growth. Jorge believes sustainability can — and must — evolve into an open model of co-creation that ensures the well-being of our planet and communities, while unlocking new business opportunities through sustainable value chains.
For the past seven years, Jorge has advanced this vision through leadership roles in sustainability and innovation within the Latin American food industry, specializing in the cocoa–chocolate value chain. At Cordillera Chocolates, Jorge currently leads the B2B Sustainability Strategy, partnering with clients, suppliers, and cocoa-growing communities to translate purpose into measurable impact. His work drives joint sustainability initiatives in biodiversity, climate resilience, traceability, deforestation-free sourcing, and human rights due diligence, bridging corporate strategy with tangible, on-the-ground action.
Jorge believes true transformation happens not behind a desk, but in the field — where cocoa is grown, biodiversity thrives, and communities shape the future of our industry. Guided by this conviction, he strives to bring sustainability strategies to life by co-creating solutions in the territory with farmers and partners. This is how Jorge honors Cordillera Chocolates' purpose: enabling sustainable pathways for growth and prosperity.
