Data Driven Sustainability Research Program Leader, Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT
Louis Reymondin brings nearly 20 years of experience at the intersection of machine learning, software development, and remote sensing. He currently leads the Data-Driven Sustainability Team at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, where his work focuses on making remote sensing solutions accessible and inclusive for smallholders, while bridging the gap between local stakeholders and industry leaders in agriculture and sustainability.
Louis is recognized for developing innovative solutions that harness the power of machine learning to analyze and interpret Big Earth Data, driving actionable insights for global sustainability challenges. His research emphasizes the creation of large-scale monitoring systems to assess human impact on natural ecosystems. A notable achievement is his leadership in the development of Terra-i, an early warning system monitoring habitat changes across the tropics in near real-time. Currently, Louis and his team are advancing this work with Terra-i+, a next-generation platform that simplifies the use of geospatial traceability data to enable deforestation-free agroforestry supply chains.
