Strategic Sourcing Director of Commodities, Hershey Trading GmbH
Mark Taylor, Strategic Sourcing Director of Commodities, leads the Switzerland-based team at Hershey Trading GmbH and is responsible for optimizing our commodity buying strategies while delivering excellence across quality, sustainability, supply continuity and risk management practices.
Mark is a seasoned leader with deep experience in procurement and agricultural commodities, including cocoa and palm. Before joining Hershey Trading, Mark worked as Vice President, Brewing Raw Materials at SAB Miller, leading a global team of 40 sourcing the company’s raw materials as well as led the sustainability agenda on behalf of SABMiller procurement. He also brings experience from his time as Vice President, Procurement – Commodities at Unilever, leading global sourcing, and risk management of all agricultural commodities. He also has experience as the Global Commodities Director at Cadbury, where he led the sourcing and commodity price risk management for Cadbury’s key raw materials and all procurement activities relating to Cadbury’s Global Chocolate consumer business.
Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics & Statistics from the University of Birmingham. He completed the Unilever leadership development programme, holds a certificate in project management from the International Project Management Association and completed the Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme at the Said Business School, University of Oxford. He is originally from the United Kingdom. He currently resides in Zug, Switzerland with his wife and three children.
