Nick Weatherill has been the Executive Director at the International Cocoa Initiative (ICI) since September 2011, leading the foundation’s efforts to strengthen child protection and tackle child labor in the West African cocoa sector. Prior to joining ICI, Mr. Weatherill worked for 17 years in the humanitarian sector, for the European Commission (DG-ECHO), the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), and for a number of NGOs, specializing in food security, livelihoods, nutrition and public health at operational, strategic and public policy levels.
