Co-founder and Executive Director, Alisos
Wendy is Co-founder and Executive Director of Alisos. She is an anthropologist and political scientist with more than 25 years of experience working on challenging inequality, climate change, and unsustainable production practices. She has developed and implemented more than 15 multi-stakeholder initiatives in Colombia and Latin America. Wendy is an expert in cocoa supply chain traceability and has been a leader in CB&P and in promoting cocoa traceability and supply chain transparency. She has worked on a diverse set of projects -from the Community Participation Program in East Harlem, New York to the design and implementation of the DRIS Strategy of Land Use and Sustainable Development for the High Commission on Post-conflict for the Presidency of Colombia, with a cross-sectoral approach. Wendy co-led Alianza Regional Amazonica (ARA) and co-created, designed, and implemented AMAZONAS 2030, an accountability initiative for the Colombian Amazon region, which has been included in three National Development Plans, emphasizing land use, impacts of extractive industry, and infrastructure.
