Cédric van Cutsem

Cédric van Cutsem leads Mondelēz International’s signature cocoa sustainability sourcing program Cocoa Life. Cocoa Life is managed in close collaboration with functional leaders, business units and teams across nine cocoa producing countries.

Cédric joined the company in 2013 to lead the Cocoa Life program operations and roll out across cocoa producing countries. He has been the leading force behind the Cocoa Life Operations Guide, supervising its implementation in close collaboration with supply chain partners and NGOs. Cédric engages in cross-sector collaboration, innovative public-private partnerships and landscape-wide approaches to help drive systemic transformation of the cocoa sector, such as via the World Cocoa Foundation, the Cocoa & Forests Initiative and co-designed OP-EN, with CARE International.

Prior to joining Mondelēz International, Cédric was Director for Sustainable Cocoa at Ecom. He also gained significant experience as trader in Switzerland and earlier as Managing Director in Nigeria setting up and managing Ecom’s operations in the country for close to 4 years.

Cédric has lived in Nigeria, Switzerland, Côte d’Ivoire, Belgium and is now located in Zurich, Switzerland. He holds a master’s degree in business from the University of ICHEC in Brussels and is the proud dad of 3 human beings.
