Scientific Director, Cocoa Innovation Center (CIC)
A biologist with a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology, Cristiano Villela conceived the Cocoa Innovation Center - CIC, a laboratory fully dedicated to the cocoa and chocolate value chain in Brazil. Cristiano serves as Executive Director of BioInnovatech, a consulting firm focused on the implementation of projects related to cocoa farming; Scientific Director of the Cocoa Innovation Center; Secretary-General of the Southern Bahia Science and Technology Park; and President of the Brazilian National Committee for Fine Cocoa Quality.
