Filippo Veglio

Filippo Veglio is President of the Swiss Platform for Sustainable Cocoa (SWISSCO), a multi-stakeholder initiative promoting sustainability in the cocoa sector. Since October 2020, he has chaired the Board in an independent capacity, providing strategic guidance alongside fellow Board members. SWISSCO brings together over 100 members from the cocoa and chocolate industry, public sector, NGOs, and research institutions – guided by a joint vision of a cocoa sector where farming households can secure a living income, human rights are safeguarded at every stage of the supply chain, and cocoa production works in harmony with nature.
In his daily professional role, Filippo serves as Head of Social and Environmental Sustainability at UEFA, the governing body of European football. Prior to this, he was Managing Director at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).
