Henry Bonsu is a leading British Ghanaian journalist and broadcaster. He presents a nightly current affairs programme on Times Radio, focusing on politics, popular culture, international affairs and sport. Henry has also appeared as a commentator for BBC News, ITV, Channel 5, Talk TV, MSNBC, TRT, Al Jazeera and News Nation. He studied Modern Languages (German and French) at Oxford University, then worked for the BBC as a producer and a presenter. Henry has written columns for The Times, The Guardian, The Voice, Daily Express and Mail on Sunday on everything from Westminster politics to policing, from race and sport. These days he is also in demand as a moderator, working for multilaterals like the AU, UNDP, Global Fund, WHO, IFAD and FAO as well as corporates like AfrAsia, Invest Africa, Cartier, KPMG, and Maersk. His specialist areas are international development, health, education, diversity and sustainability. Henry has hosted the African Banker Awards since 2008, and the last three Replenishments of the Global Fund. In November 2025 he hosted the 8thGlobal Fund Replenishment on behalf of the UK and South African governments at the G20 in Johannesburg.
