Head of Agriculture, Labor Rural
Josias do Amaral Filho is an Agronomist and holds an MSc in Soil Science and Plant Nutrition. His research, developed in partnership with CBA, focused on regenerative agriculture techniques aimed at environmental and economic recovery of post-mining areas in southeastern Brazil.
He has broad experience across multiple agricultural value chains, having worked in the coffee, banana, and cocoa sectors. His career spans hands-on field work, the creation and positioning of a specialty coffee brand, and the management of people and operational processes in complex agricultural systems.
In recent years, Josias has worked developing sustainability programs, providing technical and managerial support to clients, conducting statistical and data-driven analyses, and designing field-level monitoring and management tools. He currently serves as Head of Agriculture at Labor Rural, where he leads a multidisciplinary team, sets strategic goals, oversees project execution, and collaborates with national and international partners. His work spans grain production, fruit crops, agricultural certification systems, and sustainable farming practices.
