Lanns Almeida

Lanns Almeida took over the Superintendency of Bahiater/SDR in September 2021. A native of Itabuna, farmer, agronomist, with experience in developing territorial development programs and projects, and in resource mobilization. He served as Secretary of Agriculture and Environment of Itabuna and directed the Biofábrica Institute of Bahia. An organic cocoa producer, passionate about family farming, cocoa culture, and rural extension, he now leads Bahiater/SDR, facing with optimism and determination the challenges of contributing to sustainable, modern, and technologically qualified rural development for the advancement of family farming in Bahia.
