Director Sustainable Coffee Partnerships, Conservation International
Niels Haak is Director Sustainable Coffee Partnerships at Conservation International, a globally operating non-for profit working to ensure a healthy, more prosperous planet that supports the benefit of people.
As part of Conservation International’s renowned coffee program, Niels engages with industry players and governments to co-develop solutions, initiatives and strategies that will drive sustainability throughout the coffee supply chains and production landscapes. In this role, Niels leads Conservation International’s Sustainable Coffee Challenge - a dynamic and diverse coalition of partners from across the coffee sector dedicated to drive ambitious solutions and action toward a net-zero and nature positive coffee future.
Before joining CI, Niels served as policy advisor at the ‘Royal Dutch Coffee and Tea Association’ the umbrella organization for the coffee and tea industry in the Netherlands. Niels holds a Master of Science (MSc) in European Studies from the University of Twente in Enschede (NL), and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Communication from the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen (NL).
