Finance & Operations Manager, World Cocoa Foundation
Emmanuel Akorli serves as a Finance & Operations Manager at the World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) in Accra, Ghana. In this role, he is responsible for a broad range of finance and operations functions, including financial management, accounting, budgeting, compliance, and operational support. He provides financial expertise, participates in budgeting and financial planning discussions, and supports organizational decision-making through sound financial analysis and reporting. By staying informed of historical trends and current economic developments, Emmanuel collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all financial and accounting activities comply with the laws and regulations of Ghana.
Before assuming his current position, Emmanuel interned with World Cocoa Foundation, supporting key initiatives such as the Cocoa Livelihoods Program (CLP), African Cocoa Initiative (ACI), Climate Smart Cocoa (CSC), and other development projects. His contributions across these programs provided valuable experience in project administration, financial operations, and stakeholder engagement within the cocoa sector.
Prior to joining WCF in 2017, Emmanuel gained extensive experience in finance and accounting through positions with the Ghana Armed Forces and Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, where he performed various financial and accounting functions. He also served as a volunteer with the Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana between 2013 and 2014, supporting initiatives aimed at improving the socio-economic well-being of communities and advocating for education and responsible family-life programs.
Emmanuel holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), a Bachelor of Commerce in Management Studies from the University of Cape Coast, and a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting from The Accra Technical University.
I am inspired by the organization's commitment to delivering solutions that create meaningful impact across the cocoa sector while promoting sustainable and prosperous cocoa-growing communities.
