Deborah Faria

Deborah Faria, PhD, is a Full Professor at Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz (UESC), Brazil, and a CNPq research fellow. She currently leads initiatives integrating science and innovation in the cocoa sector, including greenhouse gas assessment tools, carbon and biodiversity credits, and remote sensing for conservation and restoration planning. She recently launched App do Cacau, an AI-powered tool supporting cocoa farmers with pest and disease identification and sustainable farming practices.
