Coordinator, Cocoa of Excellence Programme
Brigitte Laliberté is the coordinator of the Cocoa of Excellence, a multi-stakeholder platform for excellence in the cocoa sector, driving recognition of cocoa quality and flavor diversity around the world for cultural and structural transformation for the benefit of all players across the supply chain, particularly farmers at origin. Cocoa of Excellence is led by the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, a global research-for-development organization. Cocoa of Excellence leads the development of the International Standards for the Assessment of Cocoa Quality and Flavour (ISCQF) in consultation with the Working Group members.
Brigitte is Canadian, based in Rome, Italy and has over 30 years of experience in agro-biodiversity and crop genetic resources.
