Cayetano H. Hernandez

Cayetano is a traditional authority of the Seykurin community. He has dedicated most of his life to leading agricultural endeavors and his community. Married within the traditions of his culture and community, Cayetano's family includes his wife and children. He is a member of ASOSEYNEKUN, a farmers' association from Pueblo Bello, Cesar. Beyond being a cacao farmer, Cayetano is an Indigenous leader, both politically and spiritually. Cayetano has a history of involvement in forest conservation initiatives, including the Sacred Forest program, which focuses on reforestation and the preservation of high biodiversity areas and sacred sites.
