Cocoa & Forests Initiative Program Manager, Côte d'Ivoire, World Cocoa Foundation
Charlette Ouattara serves as the Program Manager for Cocoa & Forests Initiative (CFI) in Côte d’Ivoire, where she leads industry efforts to implement the Framework of Action for CFI. She provides technical support to the CFI company signatories to implement their action plans. She facilitates multi-stakeholder dialogues with government and other partners to ensure alignment of industry actions with the CFI the National Implementation Plan and other national relevant strategies and platforms. She identifies opportunities and builds partnerships for collaborative actions to protect/restore forests and promote sustainable cocoa production in the CFI priority regions.
Charlette has been working in the cocoa industry for almost seven years. She started as Certification Auditor. Then, she joined Cargill West Africa as Regional Audits and Traceability Coordinator. Before joining WCF, she was the Program Officer for the Initiative for Sustainable Landscape Program at IDH in Côte d'Ivoire.
Charlette Ouattara holds a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Sciences with a focus on agro-industries from the Haute Ecôle Condorcet (Belgium). She is fluent in Malagasy, French, and English.
