Executive Director, Brazilian Coffee Export Council (Cecafé)
Mr Marcos Matos has over 25 years of experience in agribusiness, with a strong focus on the Brazilian coffee industry. Since 2016, he has served as the Executive Director at Cecafe - The Brazilian Coffee Exports Council, where he has been instrumental in driving the growth and success of Brazil's coffee exports. Prior to this role, he was the executive director at the Brazilian Agribusiness Association (Abag/RP). He contributed to Project Management at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation and Government Affairs at Bayer S.A. Mr Matos holds a bachelor's degree in Agronomic Engineering and a master's in Agronomy from the University of São Paulo’s 'Luiz de Queiroz' College of Agriculture (ESALQ/USP). He has also earned a degree in Business Administration and an MBA in Strategic Business Management.
In addition to his executive roles, Mr Matos has been a professor in the MBA programme at Pecege Esalq/USP since 2017 and serves as a board member of the COSAG-Agribusiness Council of Fiesp. He is widely recognised for his expertise in promoting Brazilian coffee globally and his active participation in industry conferences and global events, where he shares his extensive knowledge and experience.
