Marjolijn Hekelaar

Marjolijn Hekelaar is Partnerships Manager for partnerships in West and Central Africa for Acorn, a proposition from the Rabobank aimed at incentivizing farmers to transition to agroforestry through giving them access to the voluntary carbon market.

She is familiar with the cocoa sector and the challenges faced by cocoa farmers through her previous work as cocoa sustainability manager based in Ghana, and believes more diversified cocoa farming systems could contribute to improved livelihoods.
