Merlyn Casanova Loor holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Management, specialising in Foreign Trade, a Master’s in Business Administration with a focus on Sustainability Sectors and a Master’s in Strategic Management. Certified as a Professional Independent Director in the program for the inclusion of women in executive committees, boards, and family councils in Ecuador. Merlyn is also an instructor in strategic planning and managerial skills at Humane Business Institute. She has held the position of Executive Director of ANECACAO (Ecuador’s National Association of Cocoa Exporters) for over 9 years and as a Vice President of the Consultative Board of the International Cocoa Organisation (ICCO) 2025-2027. With Over 14 years of experience in the export sector, Merlyn Casanova manages international cooperation projects and collaborates with the government to implement industry policies. Merlyn is committed to driving growth, sustainability, and innovation in the global cocoa industry.
