Cocoa Beans Procurement Category Manager & Responsible Sourcing Manager, Cocoa, Ferrero
Olivier is the Cocoa Beans Procurement Category Manager & Responsible Sourcing Manager Cocoa at Ferrero Group. In this combined role, he is responsible for Ferrero’s global cocoa sustainability programme and the procurement of cocoa beans, representing most of the cocoa that Ferrero purchases. He represents Ferrero in various collective platforms of the World Cocoa Foundation, including the technical working group of the Cocoa and Forests Initiative, and is a Board Member of the International Cocoa Initiative (ICI).
Olivier was a member of the Côte d’Ivoire-Ghana Cocoa Initiative’s Technical Working Group on Traceability and Standards that provided recommendations on how to enhance the credibility of national traceability systems. The expert group was represented by members from the cocoa authorities of both countries (CCC and Cocobod), brands, processors, traders, farmer groups, certifiers and civil society. Olivier also represents Ferrero in the Child Labor Cocoa Coordinating Group (CLCCG), a public-private partnership that brings together the governments of the United States, Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana and representatives from the cocoa and chocolate industry, and is supported by technical partners like UNICEF, ILO and ICI.
Olivier has a longstanding career in sustainability and responsible sourcing. He holds a Master's degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Amsterdam
