Ranjana Bhattacharjee is a Senior Scientist/Molecular Breeder at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Bioscience Center of Ibadan, Nigeria. She is involved in various international projects and has several publications in Thompson-indexed journals involving molecular breeding to improve varieties of yam, cocoa, taro and other food commodities. Dr. Bhattacharjee is the 2022 recipient of the Illumina “Agricultural Greater Good Initiative” grant which recognises and supports researchers working to increase the sustainability and productivity of important food commodities and livestock species.
