Technical Manager, The Côte d'Ivoire - Ghana Cocoa Initiative (CIGCI)
Tawiah Agyarko-Kwarteng is a seasoned development practitioner with 20+ years of diverse experience across the private, public and non-profit sectors in multiple African countries, delivering innovative solutions in sustainable agriculture, rural development, women’s empowerment and education. In her current role as Technical Manager at the Côte d’Ivoire-Ghana Cocoa Initiative (CIGCI), she is the technical lead for the organisation and serves as deputy to the Executive Secretary.
Tawiah previously worked for The Hershey Company, a global confectionary leader, as their West Africa Sustainable Sourcing Representative, supporting the development and growth of the company’s sustainability programmes in the region. She has also worked for World Education, Inc. and Women Changemakers for Education, both US non-profit organisations, to launch and scale education, health and rural development initiatives across West Africa.
Tawiah holds a Master of Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) degree from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and is a PhD candidate at the University of Ghana’s Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER).
