Raquel Solís Guevara is an economist, with a master's degree in Economics and Business Management from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO), and has specialized training in strategic finance from the Monterrey Institute of Technology, as well as a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Illinois, with additional studies in business at the University of São Paulo.
She has more than twenty years of professional experience in the financial, administrative, and productive sectors, mainly linked to the agricultural sector. Throughout her career, she has led processes in strategic planning, financial control, and the structuring of productive projects, standing out for her role as financial manager of an agricultural company dedicated to milk production under sustainability, animal welfare, and responsibility standards.
In the production sector, she has promoted projects funded by development banks, administrative modernization processes, and management systematization, as well as the consolidation of commercial relationships with key players in the dairy industry. Her experience combines the technical rigor of economic management with direct knowledge of the territory, production, and social dynamics of the Ecuadorian countryside.
She has also worked in managing relationships with rural and indigenous communities, in the planning of productive areas, and in the conservation of ecological zones, providing a comprehensive vision that integrates economic development, environmental sustainability, and social cohesion. In the academic field, she has served as a university professor in finance, accounting, and international business, contributing to the training of new professionals in business management and economics.
She currently serves as Deputy Minister of Agricultural and Livestock Productive Development at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries, where she leads policies and actions aimed at strengthening production, competitiveness, and sustainability in Ecuador's agricultural sector.
She speaks Spanish and English fluently and is known for her leadership, strategic vision, and strong results-oriented approach.
