CFI 2024 reports show record progress in forest restoration, traceability, and farmer resilience in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.

The Cocoa & Forests Initiative (CFI) has published its 2024 annual progress reports for Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.

The reports highlight record achievements in forest restoration, supply chain traceability, and farmer resilience, marking an important milestone toward a deforestation-free cocoa sector.

In Ghana, the national cocoa traceability system was rolled out and 2.5 million tree seedlings were distributed. In Côte d’Ivoire, more than 63,000 hectares of forest were restored and agroforestry systems expanded to 250,000 hectares.

Now in its seventh year, CFI continues to strengthen collaboration and support alignment with evolving regulations, including the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
